Ryan Lochte has plenty of haters out there, but the vitriol against him turned into a scary situation when two protesters stormed the stage during Monday night's premiere of "Dancing With the Stars."

The two men, Sam Sododeh and Barzeen Soroudi, were arrested for trespassing, according to KABC. Wearing anti-Lochte shirts, they rushed toward the stage while the Olympic swimmer and partner Cheryl Burke were receiving the judges' remarks for their foxtrot. Security tackled them and removed them from the premises.

Lochte has been the subject of negative publicity and public derision after he admitted to exaggerating claims that he and fellow USA swimming teammates had been robbed at gunpoint during the Rio Olympics.

Police told KABC that the men had valid tickets and had worn the anti-Lochte shirts underneath other clothing. Four or five women were also kicked out of the audience after shouting anti-Lochte chants.

The television audience only saw judge Carrie Ann Inaba say "Excuse me!" repeatedly while Lochte and Burke stared at some commotion off camera.

"We thought it was a joke, something prior to the show, you know. Then, when we realized it wasn't, that hurt," Lochte said. "It broke my heart that people are still on that subject and no one is moving forward."
