Recommended for you by Netflix: More Adam Sandler movies.

The actor has signed a deal to make four more original movies for the streaming service. Deadline reports that Netflix hails Sandler's two completed movies, "The Ridiculous 6" and "The Do-Over," as its two biggest film releases. Apparently, his flicks have "proven very popular and helpful in gaining subscribers and keeping them in place."

The third movie in his original deal, "Sandy Wexler," debuts April 14, and Sandler is prepping production on the fourth. Now, Netflix subscribers can look forward to Sandler films for some time yet.

Netflix has been doubling down on comedy, signing stand-up special deals with Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Amy Schumer, and more top talent.

"Adam Sandler is one of the leading comedians in the film world, and his movies have proven to be extremely successful with our subscribers around the world," said Ted Sarandos, Netflix Chief Content Officer. "We are thrilled at the opportunity to extend our partnership with Adam and his entire team at Happy Madison and keep the world laughing."
