It looks like Hawkins, Indiana, is getting some new blood after so much was shed in "Stranger Things" Season 2.

As the hit Netflix series nears production on its third season, there are plans for three new characters to join, according to ThatHashtagShow.com. The website shared intel from an unnamed source that revealed descriptions of three recurring roles currently being cast. While the names could change, the characters are reportedly Mayor Larry Kline, a self-interested and slimy politician; Bruce, a misogynistic news reporter lacking integrity; and Patricia Brown, an elderly woman in the neighborhood who is kind to the kids.

These descriptions might not mean much to us now, but if past precedent continues, it won't take long before we're seriously invested in their fates. Season 2, for example, brought us Bob (Sean Astin), who won us over with his earnest affection for Joyce (Winona Ryder) and broke our hearts with his heroic sacrifice. We also came to welcome the addition of Max (Sadie Sink) to the party and look forward to teasing quips from Erica (Priah Ferguson), Lucas's sister. Like the newbies before them, the latest three are bound to shake things up in Hawkins.

"Stranger Things" Season 3 is expected to premiere in 2019.
