Wakanda forever ... on Blu-ray.

Marvel announced that blockbuster hit "Black Panther," which royally cleaned up in the theatrical box office, will be set to dominate on Blu-ray and DVD starting May 15.

It will be available on digital HD and Movies Anywhere a week earlier on May 8.

The superhero movie starring Chadwick Boseman broke all kinds of records in theaters. It currently sits at No. 3 on the all-time top grossing movies at the domestic box office, having passed "Titanic" this past weekend. "Black Panther" has made more than $1.3 billion globally.

The Blu-ray edition will be packed with bonus features, including several deleted scenes and featurettes, an audio commentary by director Ryan Coogler, and a gag reel.

One of those cut scenes features Danai Gurira (Okoye) and Daniel Kaluuya (W'kabi), lovers who end up on different sides of the conflict between T'Challa and his cousin, Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan).

Editor Michael Shawver told The Wrap it was "hands down the most painful scene to cut."

"Toward the end, after things go bad and Killmonger is in control and all that, we're talking about, what are they going to do? What is Wakanda going to become?" he explained. "Those are two powerhouse actors and it was an incredible scene with so many layers to it — boyfriend and girlfriend, it was general and her advisor, all those things. That was painful."

Luckily for fans, that pain will soon be alleviated.
