Kevin Feige is Marvel's true superhero. He's the architect behind Marvel Studios, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

All 20 Marvel Cinematic Universe films have opened at the top of the box office. Together, they have grossed more than $17.6 BILLION around the world.

Since Feige is now 45-years-old, he started all of this in his 30s. So get steppin' out there, all you mogul slackers!

So, fittingly, Marvel Studios President and producer Kevin Feige is this year's choice to be honored by the Producers Guild of America with the David O. Selznick Achievement Award. Feige will receive the honor at the 30th annual Producers Guild Awards on January 19, 2019 at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles.

Gail Berman and Lucy Fisher, PGA presidents: "Kevin Feige set for himself one of the most ambitious tasks ever attempted in cinematic storytelling, and then over-delivered on it. What Kevin has accomplished with Marvel Studios is one of the great success stories of this generation. And now, with 'Black Panther' and the upcoming 'Captain Marvel,' Kevin has broadened our entire industry’s expectations for what tentpole movies look like — in front of the camera, behind the camera and in the audience. We’re honored that he’s accepted the PGA’s David O. Selznick Award."

Kevin Feige: "To join so many of my heroes and mentors in receiving the David O. Selznick Award is one of the most meaningful experiences of my career, and I’m truly thankful to my colleagues in the Producers Guild of America for this recognition.I want to also thank my Marvel Studios family, who have been with me every step of the way and without whom I would never have had this amazing journey."

Past David O. Selznick Award recipients include David Heyman, Stanley Kramer, Billy Wilder, Clint Eastwood, Jerry Bruckheimer, Brian Grazer, Laura Ziskin, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall, Scott Rudin and Steven Spielberg. The 2018 recipient was Charles Roven.

Marvel Studios is hot off the successes of "Black Panther" and "Avengers: Infinity War" (and "Ant-Man and the Wasp," which is still picking up money overseas). All 20 MCU films are being re-released in IMAX theaters starting today. Next year, the MCU brings us "Captain Marvel" in March, "Avengers 4" in May, and "Spider-Man: Far From Home" in July.
