"Coming to America 2" has found a bit of hustle and flow in its director.
Craig Brewer, who directed "Hustle and Flow" and the "Footloose" remake, has signed on to helm the sequel to the 1988 Eddie Murphy comedy. Brewer will direct from a script written by "black-ish" creator Kenya Barris.
Brewer and Murphy are currently working together on the Netflix movie "Dolemite Is My Name."
In the original, Prince Akeem (Murphy) journeys to America from his wealthy African nation of Zamunda to escape an arranged marriage and find a wife who loves him as a person, not for his royal status.
In the sequel, Akeem returns to America after learning about his long-lost son who is the heir to the throne.
Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy) is the prince of a wealthy African country and wants for nothing, except a wife who will love him in spite of his title.
