In the new documentary, "I Am Richard Pryor," comedians young and old weigh in on the impact comedy legend Richard Pryor had on their lives.

"He was heaven-sent and definitely, definitely here to change lives, because he changed mine," says Mike Epps in the NSFW clip.

Adds Tiffany Haddish of Pryor, who passed away in 2005: "He kicked the freedom of speech door wide open."

"Pimps, poverty, racism... he took all that dark s**t and made it light," one historian weighs in.

Also in the documentary: Lily Tomlin, Howie Mandel, and Pryor’s widow Jennifer Lee Pryor.

The documentary premiere at SXSW Tuesday, March 12, then will debut on the Paramount Network on Friday, March 15, at 10 p.m., followed by an encore on Comedy Central at 11:30 p.m.
