"Defending Jacob," the upcoming Chris Evans legal drama, just added four more cast members.

Joining the Apple TV drama: Pablo Schreiber and Sakina Jaffrey from "American Gods," Cherry Jones ("The Handmaid's Tale," "24") and Betty Gabriel ("Get Out," "Upgrade").

Evans will star as Andy Barber, a prosecutor who learns his 14-year-old son is a suspect in the death of a classmate.

Michelle Dockery ("Downton Abbey") has already been cast as his wife, with Jaeden Martell (Bill in "IT") as their son.

Schreiber (Mad Sweeney on "American Gods") will play a colleague of Barber's in the district attorney's office. Jaffrey (whose recent credits include "Timeless" and "House of Cards"), will play Barber's boss. She joined "American Gods" in Season 2 as Mama-ji.

Emmy winner Jones will play Joanna Klein, a top defense lawyer. And Gabriel will play Paula Duffy, a detective who works with Evans's character.

The series is based on the 2012 novel by William Landry.

"Defending Jacob" is one of more than 20 scripted series that Apple has ordered for its new streaming service, which is set to debut sometime this the fall.
