It's not much of a surprise that a second "Shazam!" film is already being planned after its $53.5 million debut weekend.

"Shazam!" left plenty of room for sequels and character crossovers. And with Dwayne Johnson set to star as classic Shazam! villain Black Adam in his own movie, their paths will surely cross soon.

Star Zachary Levi says he'd be happy to show up in other DC properties. "First and foremost, I would love that we get to keep building this world, the Shazam! side of the DC universe," he told Digital Spy. "If beyond that, my bosses say, 'Hey, what about going and popping into that person's movie or they pop into your movie?' or, God willing, they make another 'Justice League' and Shazam gets to be in the Justice League, I want all of that."

"Shazam!" was a huge hit with younger audiences: More than half the audience was under 25, with a third under the age of 17, according to PostTrak.
