The untitled project previously known as "Stumptown" has landed a series order.

ABC's slate for the 2019-2020 TV season now includes the Cobie Smulders-starring series, Variety reports. It's based on the "Stumptown" graphic novels written by Greg Rucka, which follow Dex Parios (Smulders), an army vet P.I. living in Portland, Oregon. She's described as "strong, assertive, and unapologetically sharp-witted," which apparently causes problems with both criminals and the police in the series. To top that off, she has money, love, and family issues to deal with.

Smulders stars in the series alongside Tantoo Cardinal (Sue Lynn Blackbird), Cole Sibus (Ansel Parios), Adrian Martinez (Tookie), Camryn Manheim (Lieutenant Cosgrove), and Michael Ealy (Detective Miles Hoffman). The leading lady's most recent series was Netflix's "Friends From College," and prior to that she was one of the stars of "How I Met Your Mother." On the film side, she has been in multiple MCU flicks, including the upcoming "Spider-Man: Far From Home."

The "Stumptown" adaptation is written by Jason Richman and directed by James Griffith. Richman executive produces alongside Rucka; the graphic novels' illustrators, Matthew Southworth and Justin Greenwood; and The District's Ruben Fleischer and David Bernard. ABC Studios is set to produce. So far, no premiere date has been announced.
