The mysterious British spy organization from the "Kingsman" movies started out with ... well, one "King's Man."

The teaser trailer for the prequel is here, to explain how the first independent intelligence agency got its start. Ralph Fiennes stars as a World War I soldier who seems to found the Kingsman. He brings in a new recruit (Harris Dickinson), telling him, "I know you want to fight, but there are other ways to do your duty."

As befitting the nature of the shadowy organization, the trailer doesn't reveal much. Here's the movie's official synopsis: "As a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them."

The cast also includes Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance.

"The King's Man" opens in theaters February 14.
