If you build it, the MLB will come.

Major League Baseball announced it will hold a special game at the location featured in "Field of Dreams," the 1989 baseball drama starring Kevin Costner.

The Chicago White Sox and the New York Yankees will take up their bats for a regular season game on August 13, 2020 in Dyersville, Iowa.

The White Sox' involvement is fitting, since the "Field of Dreams" featured the 1919 team (led by Shoeless Joe Jackson) that became infamous for throwing the World Series against the Reds.

The league will construct a temporary 8,000-seat ballpark on the site, which overlooks the iconic location. The right field wall will include windows showing the cornfields beyond the park. Fans will also be able to take a pathway through the cornfield.

The ballpark's design will pay homage to Chicago's Comiskey Park, home of the White Sox from 1910 to 1990.

The game will be the first MLB game played at the location and in all of the state of Iowa. Universal Studios, which produced "Field of Dreams," is on board the event.

Tickets will be available for sale at a later date.
