Atilla Han Civek is a graduate of the Cinema Department at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. He combines his academic education in cinema with the experience he gained working in camera departments on professional sets, bringing both into his own filmmaking practice. He has worked as a cinematographer on several short films and directed the documentary The Expected Istanbul Earthquake and Fatalism as part of a workshop led by Serdar Akar. His approach to directing focuses on characters’ inner worlds, the details of everyday life, and emotions that remain unspoken.
