Carmen Vásquez Uriol Biography
(Trujillo, Peru, 1998) Filmmaker, programmer, and cultural manager. Her work focuses on experimental film, found footage, and autobiographical documentary, with a particular emphasis on women, memory, and postmemory in Latin America. As a director, her short films have been screened at various national and international festivals. She participated in the 19th edition of Talents Buenos Aires 2024, the Chile–Locarno Industry Academy 2023, and was a recipient of the Corrientes Fellowship at the 70th Flaherty Film Seminar.
Since 2021, she has directed and been a member of the programming team for Atemporal – Traveling Latin American Film Festival. “En esta tarde de retorno” is her first feature film.
