Joe Blank

Joe Blank is a writer and director originally from north of New York City. He started off by making extremely cinematic DV tape videos of miniature toys and family birthday parties, eventually graduating to making Youtube oriented shorts with friends, inspired by the comedy trio The Lonely Island. Joe attended undergrad for film at Syracuse University, a very cold place to hold a camera, and during his time there also studied at F.

A.M.U. in Prague, Czech Republic, (he still retains a little Czech). After graduating, Joe has lived and worked in Brooklyn, NY and Los Angeles, where amongst other works has made “Roman Candle”, his debut feature film, and is in post-production on an upcoming narrative short film called “The Interview” and his second feature film “Friends from Home”.
