In New York City, the Bowery Boys -- including Sach (Huntz Hall) -- learn from shop owner Louie (Bernard Gorcey) about a murder 20 years earlier in a small Western town over the location of a gold mine. Eager to help Louie discover the killer's identity, Sach and the boys copy his map and head west, looking for cardsharp and saloon owner Blackjack (Jack Norman). On the way, they get caught up with lively American Indians and a stunning sharpshooter (Julie Gibson).
