Plot Summary
Robert Capa, born Endre Ernö Friedmann in 1913, moves from Hungary to Paris, renames himself and takes up photography. While covering the Spanish Civil War, Capa's fiancée, Gerda Taro, is killed during a battle. Feeling he has nothing to lose, Capa becomes a fearless photojournalist in World War II, capturing D-Day alongside the second assault wave. His life story is told along with tributes to his influence, both for his war photography and founding of the Magnum Photos cooperative.
