Engineer Owen Merrill travels to the Pacific Northwest where he plans to build a dam He stays at the Salmon Club run by attractive Heather McHale When Heather learns Owens purpose she explains that the club has a government lease on the river in order to preserve the areas good salmon fishing Owen argues that the dam will create jobs but Heather deplores the loss of beauty
