If dinosaurs never faced extinction, humans would be the equivalent of a pet dog.

In a new trailer released Tuesday for "The Good Dinosaur," the planet is reimagined as it would be with prehistoric creatures in command, and where an Apatosaurus named Arlo goes on a journey to find his parents while making friends along the way, including a howling, human cave boy he names Spot. In Arlo's world, dinosaurs now speak and humans bark.

Navigating the landscape before human pillaging, Arlo finds his self-confidence amid challenges.

The all-star cast lending their voices to the Disney-Pixar animated feature include Raymond Ochoa, Jeffrey Wright, Steve Zahn, AJ Buckley, Anna Paquin, Sam Elliott, Frances McDormand, Marcus Scribner and Jack Bright.

"The Good Dinosaur" opens Thanksgiving Day.
