The Mother of Dragons is now The Girl With the Dragon Tattoos.

Emilia Clarke has finished filming her role as Daenerys Targaryen on "Game of Thrones." We won't get to see her Season 8 episodes until next year, but she already has us worried about her final scene.

We saw what happened to Viserion in Season 7, and now we have to see what fate has in store for Drogon and Rhaegal (as well as their mother).

But at least the MOD is happy now, sharing a mid-laugh photo that clearly shows off her new wrist tattoos:

Sweet. Yes, she will be Mother of Dragons forever. Dany is the role of a lifetime, and now she will literally carry a memory with her everywhere.

Clarke previewed this dragon-wrist-tat decision in a May 2018 interview with "Live with Kelly and Ryan":

That makes her just the latest "Game of Thrones" star to get a post-show tattoo, following Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark).

"Game of Thrones" just picked up Best Drama at the Emmys, with Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) also picking up another Emmy. They may or may not be eligible for more Emmys this time next year. HBO has yet to give the final season of "Game of Thrones" an official release date in 2019.

If it were up to author George R.R. Martin we'd have at least two more seasons ahead after this one, but that was not his call. The tears are going to flow when we finally get to see everything they've already completed for us.
