If a cat's got nine lives, then Peter Quinn must be immortal.

The new, full-length trailer for "Homeland" season 6 reveals that badass CIA operative Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) somehow survived his massive brain injury. He seemed like a goner when Carrie (Claire Danes) read his final farewell letter, which declared his love for her.

But Quinn is alive. But is he well? That's unclear, since he only speaks briefly at the end of the trailer and is not seen.

The trailer fleshes out season 6 a bit more than the teaser released in November. Carrie is living and working in New York at a foundation aiding Muslim Americans. "Law enforcement needs to stop harassing and demonizing an entire community," she tells her former (current?) boss Otto During.

A little more light is shed on the season's other major storyline: A new president-elect (Elizabeth Marvel) is preparing for her inauguration, and she's planning to overhaul the CIA — which troubles Saul (Mandy Patinkin) and Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham).

"Homeland" season 6 premieres Sunday, Jan. 19 at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
