As "brilliant" as "Game of Thrones" star Iain Glen finds the show's conclusion, he doesn't expect the series finale to be universally loved.

The hit HBO show is headed into its eighth and final season, and fans have high hopes for the finale. As the actor who portrays Ser Jorah Mormont, Glen already knows how it will conclude. He recently told The Indian Express that he considers the ending "brilliant" and satisfying.

"When I read it, I thought it was rather brilliant," he said. "I am a bit of a fan of the series as well, and it satiated my expectation and hopes."

Yet, as much as he liked it, the actor acknowledged that he doesn't expect everyone to share his reaction. With a show as big and beloved as "Game of Thrones," Glen says that "you cannot please everyone."

It's a fair point. Glen's co-star Ben Crompton expressed similar sentiments in late December, telling Metro that everyone would have their own opinions. That said, Crompton also told the publication that he would be "surprised if people are disappointed."

However the show ends, there is guaranteed to be a lot of action and excitement ahead. Glen teased surprises as well, so we're preparing ourselves already for an intense and exhilarating season.

"Game of Thrones" Season 8 will premiere in 2019.
