Hungry for more "Soul Food"?

A sequel to the 1997 hit ensemble film titled "More Soul Food" is in the works, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Director George Tillman Jr, the first film's director and scribe, will write the follow-up to the comedy-drama.

"More Soul Food" continues the story of the Joseph family as they learn the importance of family and tradition amid the climate of social media and other distracting, online platforms.

The original film starred Vanessa Williams, Vivica A. Fox, Nia Long, Michael Beach and Mekhi Phifer as a tight family whose bond is tested after the death of the family matriarch who regularly organized Sunday soul food family meals.
