With Robert Pattinsonall but confirmed as the new Bruce Wayne, "The Batman" director Matt Reeves is reportedly lining up the new Caped Crusader's villains.

According to the Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision newsletter, he'll be fighting Penguin and Catwoman, as Michael Keaton did in Tim Burton's "Batman Returns."

It's doubtful we'll see corrupt businessman Max Shreck (played by Christopher Walken in "Batman Returns"), but Catwoman and Penguin have been staples since the campy '60s TV series.

Also unlikely: Pattinson's former "Twilight" costar Kristen Stewart as the new Catwoman.

Josh Gad, who has been lobbying to play the Penguin, tweeted this morning, "Eh. I could take him," about Pattinson.

Collider reports that Pattinson is close to signing the deal, despite not having read the script (which isn't finished!) yet.

While so much about the film is up in the air, Warner Bros. has a firm release date set for June 25, 2021.
