Baz Luhrmann's trippy, trailblazing musical "Moulin Rouge!" made waves when it hit theaters back in 2001, thanks to its anachronistic soundtrack, flamboyant production design, brash, quirky characters, and general bonkers vibe. The upcoming Broadway adaptation aims to recapture that magic, and a new trailer for the show makes it clear that the live version will indeed feature all of those things -- seemingly cranked up to 11.

This latest clip -- dubbed "TRUTH!" in a nod to the bohemians' core beliefs of truth, beauty, freedom, and love -- features lovesick penniless writer Christian (Aaron Tveit) dipping into a bottle of absinthe with artist Toulouse-Lautrec (Sahr Ngaujah) and generally getting into all kinds of shenanigans with his fellow bohemians and the performers of the Moulin Rouge.

There's also a tender moment between Christian and Satine (Karen Olivo), the star of the Moulin Rouge who also happens to be a courtesan. It looks like that latter job title will once again cause trouble for the lovers, as we get a glimpse of the nefarious Duke (Tam Mutu) offering Satine some money. And yes, the bombastic, fantastic "El Tango de Roxanne" will be featured in the stage version, too.

It all looks so incredibly crazy and delightful, and we can't wait to see how it plays out on stage. Tickets are now on sale for "Moulin Rouge! The Musical," with Broadway previews beginning this summer. More information can be found here.
