"Paper Towns" actor Nat Wolff is negotiating a role in the horror film "Death Note," reports Deadline.

The picture is a live-action adaptation of an illustrated manga series, already adapted in Japan, that follows a student who possess a notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. He finds himself entangled in conspiracy after he encounters a demon that previously owned the book, which prompts an Interpol agent to investigate him for the mysterious deaths.

The part in the thriller comes after Wolff's appearance in "The Intern," costarring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.

Wolff previously lead the YAF novel turned film "Paper Towns," opposite Cara Delevingne, and had a supporting role in the hit teen drama "The Fault in Our Stars."
