Don't just Netflix and chill over this, keep a careful eye out and spread the word.

Mailguard reached out with a screen shot of a fake email being spread to some of the nearly 110 million Netflix subscribers. It's an account "suspension notification" pending updated billing information, which is just a way for them to get you to click on their link. That link will take you to a fake Netflix page where they want to take your personal information and credit card account number.

The page looks very similar to Netflix's official emails, which may confuse some customers.

In this case though, you can see "#name#" as the receiver, with "No Sender" at the top. These are hints that it's a phishing scam. And as Mailguard advised, "Always hover your mouse over links within emails and check the domain they're pointing to. If they look suspicious or unfamiliar don't open them."

If you want to access your Netflix account, don't click on an email link, go straight to the official website Netflix.com.
