There will be blood — lots and lots of it — in the new "Hellboy."

A second red-band trailer for the reboot is here, chock-full of violence, gore, and F-bombs. The titular half-demon (now played by David Harbour) is a younger, perhaps even more rough-around-the-edges version than the one played by Ron Perlman in the Guillermo del Toro films 15 years ago.

The trailer lays out Hellboy's origin story and touches on his training by adoptive father Trevor Bruttenholm (Ian McShane).

Now all grown up (and with a mouth to prove it) Hellboy and his giant, smashing arm join the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense to defeat the medieval sorceress Nimue the Blood Queen (Milla Jovovich).

There's a lot going on here, from Nazis to gigantic skeletons wreaking havoc on London to Daniel Dae Kim turning into a were- jaguar. And of course, all the very explicit maimings and murders.

"Hellboy" opens in theaters April 12.
