Reese Witherspoon has Blonde ambition.

The star of "Legally Blonde" and its sequel "Legally Blonde: Red, White and Blonde" recently campaigned on "Fashionably Late With Rachel Zoe" to see her character Elle Woods add a touch of pink to the White House.

When a fan asked the Oscar winner if she would welcome a possible third film, she responded affirmatively: "I think we’re ready to see Elle and see what she’s up to lately.”

“A lot of writers over the years have come up with different ideas for it,” Witherspoon explained. “I actually think it’s kind of great right now because we’re talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women. And I think it’d be kind of a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court justice or someone who runs for office.”

It has been nearly 12 years since "Legally Blonde 2" hit the box office. Both films were hits, earning $124 for the second installment and $141 for the first, which debuted two years earlier. They have since enjoyed a TV replay afterlife. As far as putting a third movie on the ballot, she advises fans to “Call MGM!,” the studio behind the movies.
