Sandra Bullock and Billy Bob Thornton go head-to-head as ultra-competitive opposing political consultants in "Our Brand Is Crisis" - and according to the actors' character descriptions, it's easy to see why.

"He's an alligator, he's an eating machine," Thorton tells Made In Hollywood of playing Pat Candy. "He's a man who loves to play this game. He wants to win and he wants to be god. And I think he, at this stage in his life, he's at the same stage he was 20 years ago [laughs]."

Bullock's character "Calamity" Jane Bodine has left what she calls an "unhealthy" political world, but is "pulled back in with her drug of choice, which is her competitive nature towards Billy Bob's character."

Explains Bullock: "When you first meet her, [she] has tried to pull herself out of ... a world where she's brilliant for what she does, but it's having an adverse effect on her mental health and her addiction. She had to literally remove herself physically ..."

If there's one thing the actors agree on instantaneously, it's that Thorton's character is an "A-hole."

Watch the pair's competitive nature play out on the big screen when the David Gordon Green-directed dramedy hits theaters tomorrow.
