Just call her The Girl With the Mystery Tattoo.

It's not clear yet whether Scarlett Johansson's new back ink is for "Avengers 4," another movie, or just herself. She does have tattoos of her own, including a smaller one on her back, but new photos show a much larger, more sprawling tattoo (or series of tats) reaching up to her right shoulder.

The photos were snapped Monday in Atlanta while Johansson was reportedly exiting her trailer on the set of "Avengers 4":

If this is just for herself, good for her. It's only really relevant to us if it's for a role, especially if that role is Black Widow.

Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" finished filming just before that tantalizing footage played at D23. Now the crew is filming "Avengers 4," and we don't know much about what's going on with Black Widow, other than noticing that her hair is very different in "Infinity War." Maybe she's going for a new look in "Avengers 4," too?

Here's some Black Widow chatter from ScreenRant:

"Johansson's role in The Avengers 4 has been a hot topic of discussion over the past few weeks amongst fans, following reports that Black Widow and the Yakuza will share a scene together at some point in the film, during its highly-discussed sequence set in Tokyo, Japan.

Now, set photos courtesy of E! Online have formally revealed that Johansson is on The Avengers 4 Japan set. While she's not in her Black Widow costume in the photos, it is worth noting that she has arrived just following the construction of an elaborate Japan set for the film. Other reports have claimed that Johansson's Black Widow and Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton/Hawkeye are together on the set, along with two of the film's villains."

By the way, there is an official title for "Avengers 4," but it's too spoilery to reveal at this point. We'll have to wait for that, and wait for intel on this new tat, if it is indeed for a movie role.

"Avengers: Infinity War" opens May 4th, 2018. "Avengers 4" is scheduled for release May 3, 2019.
