A junior novelization of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" has spoiled a big twist about one of the Marvel movie's main characters.

UPDATE: Or not? The Internet! Can't live with it, can't live without it. After reports came out about Michelle's last name being revealed in the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" novelization, new reports from Tumblr and Reddit users suggest the novelization does NOT reveal Michelle's last name. So now we're not sure what to believe, and how the rumor got started if it was just a false lead.

Back to the original post:

Stop reading if you want to wait for the movie to come out on July 7th to see for yourself.

According to Movie Pilot, the book reveals the full name of Zendaya's character, Michelle, is Michelle Toomes. As you probably know, Michael Keaton is playing Adrian Toomes, aka the Vulture, the main villain of the movie. So all signs are now pointing to Michelle as his daughter.

A lot of fans had initially wondered if Zendaya would be playing the new Mary Jane Watson, but that was shot down, and we were just left with "Michelle" -- with the trailers showing Michelle as a smart-ass loner at the same school as Peter Parker (Tom Holland). Now it looks like "Homecoming" is going for a version of the Osborn family -- when the father of Peter's friend Harry turned out to be the Green Goblin.

But it won't be too long before we can stop speculating and see exactly what "Spider-Man: Homecoming" has in store for Michelle, Adrian, Peter, and the rest of the gang. The movie opens July 7th.
