After making a splash last season, "The Good Doctor" is poised for its triumphant return.

ABC released the Season 2 trailer on Thursday, previewing the trials ahead for Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) and his colleagues at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. He has to deal with the fallout from an error he made last season, and at one point, we hear him say that his honesty "just made it worse." On top of that, he's told that "things might be more difficult for [him] now."

Meanwhile, Dr. Marcus Andrews (Hill Harper) is pursuing progress for the hospital and Shaun's mentor, Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff), continues to battle cancer. The familiar faces are also joined by a new one. Lisa Edelstein's recurring character, Dr. Blaize, shows up, touting the fact that she's "the best oncologist around."

"The Good Doctor" Season 2 premieres Monday, Sept. 24 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
