"The OA" is back — and heading to an alternate reality.

Netflix unveiled the trailer for Season 2 of the sci-fi/supernatural/mystery thriller, which finally makes its return after a nearly three-year absence.

In case your memory is fuzzy, Season 1 introduced Prairie (Brit Marling), a woman who resurfaces after being missing for seven years. She was now called OA and could see, despite having been blind before. At the end of the season, she transported her consciousness to a new dimension.

The new season finds OA navigating an alternate reality, one in which she is wealthy, lives in San Francisco, and was never kidnapped.

Season 2 introduces a private detective looking for a missing teen. His path crosses with OA, as they try to solve the mystery of a house on Nob Hill connected to the disappearance of several teenagers.

Meanwhile, back in the first dimension, BBA, Angie and the boys attempt to understand the truth behind OA’s story and the incredible realities she described.

The trailer evokes the same gauzy, mystical, kooky vibe as the first season. But with Prairie in a completely new environment, it almost feels like an anthology, even though the storylines are clearly connected.

"The OA" Season 2 premieres March 22 on Netflix.
