A Gifted Man

Series Summary
Materialistic surgeon Michael Holt (Patrick Wilson) always believed in working hard for the luxuries in life until he started seeing the dead. Specifically his ex-wife, Anna, who in life was an idealistic doctor who worked with the underprivileged. When Holt decides to heed her request to help keep her old clinic running, he is touched by those who need his help, and his attitude about serving the poor turns upside down in the process. Michael's off-beat sister, single mother Christina, is happy about Anna's "return" to Michael's life because she feels he was a better person with Anna around.

ratings & reviews

view all
  • Fifteen minutes into A Gifted Man, the performance of Patrick Wilson, Jennifer Ehle and Margo Martindale had completely won me over, and of all the pilots I've screened for fall, this is the one I most want to see more of. Show More

  • The viewer are asked to digest a lot, but we're willing to bear with it and see if the subsequent episodes can strike the same supernatural-but-not-super-goofy note, retain the production values and keep us interested. Show More

  • It's painful watching an actor as skilled as Wilson trying to force-feed credibility to a horrifically unbelievable moment and sadly failing. Things only get worse from here on. Show More
