In a small town on the California coast, Charley Martin (J. Carrol Naish) can barely make ends meet and is shunned as the father of a thief. His son Benny joined the army after one too many scrapes with the law, and only Charley and Benny's fiancée, Lolita Sierra (Dorothy Lamour), have anything good to say about the boy. Saw the movie after a movie buff friend said it was a good movie and loved it even though it's an older movie. J. Carrol Naish was wonderful in the part. Really touching film.
