great acting

A bitter, uptight nun plays her miserable outlook on what she believes to be right vs a modern priest trying to include all types into his less... t world of \"religious\" training. She is sharp tongued and straight laced and actually hateful toward the priest without any documentation of unlawful behaviour on his part. Full Review

Isn't the whole point of the movie to leave the viewer in complete 100% doubt? There is no solid evidence either way, so any conclusion is completely... based on individual speculation ... speculation that is shaped by how each viewer interprets all the little nuances in the movie. Hats off to Hoffman for being so kind and so frustratingly vague at the same time. Streep, as usual was amazing. Full Review

Doubt has exact and merciless writing, powerful performances and timeless relevance. It causes us to start thinking with the first shot, and we never stop. Think how rare that is in a film.Full Review

Doubt is a complex, thematically loaded piece of work, and though it isn't enhanced on film, it deserves the wider exposure.Full Review
