Director Stephan Elliott uncorks a rare vintage of laughs tinged with heartache. show more
Full of forced jocularity and drawing-room hissy fits, with its cast parading around in vintage threads and antique cars, Easy Virtue is a close-to-insufferable souffle based on the 1925 Noel Coward play. show more
Jessica Biel has great fun with the American adventuress, while Kristin Scott Thomas is truly scary as her nemesis and mother-in-law. show more
EASY VIRTUE...DELICIOUS! SAW THE MOVIE IN JULY, OREDERED THE DVD, RCVD IT SEPT 16. HAVE WATCHED IT AT LEAST 30 TIMES (OCT 18) AND HAVE RE-WATCHED 'THE TANGO' SEVERAL MORE. THE MUSIC WAS DELIGHTFUL, THE SCENERY TAKES ONE INTO OLD ENGLAND, 1930. A BRIEF REMINDER OF THE COSTS OF WAR, THE HURT OF INLAWS AND THE REALITY OF DISEASE. BUT, AFTER ALL THAT, A FUNNY, WONDERFUL STORY. I SAW THIS FOR MR. COLIN FIRTH, BUT HAVE TO GIVE JESSICA BIEL A GREAT DEAL OF CREDIT FOR CARRYING THE STORY. ALL THE REST WERE GREAT, TOO. CHECK OUT THE 'ROADSTER' I CANT BELIEVE THAT 'REAL' MOVIE THEATRES DONT SHOW THIS ONE.....LOVED IT. I THINK I'LL WATCH IT AGAIN TONIGHT. (FEW YRS LATER, CONTINUE TO WATCH & RE-WATCH)
A wonderful film. A way of life we don\'t see any more. Whitty diialog, great music, and classic performances.
DELICIOUS!! NOTHING GETTING BLOWN UP...NO MURDER OR DRUGS.....LOVED IT! AND, COLIN FIRTH.....HE COULD DANCE WITH ME OR GET IN MY CAR ANYTIME!!
