I do enjoy some scary thrillers, and this is a great one,Wahlberg (The Perfect Storm), and Witherspoon (Walk The Line) make the viewer get on the "edge" of nervousness. When a young teen finds... a new beau, she tends to forget her family and everything sensible.David (Wahlberg), is the boy you would not like to take home to meet your dad. David makes this teen go nutty and wild.Alyssa Milano (Who's The Boss),is the girlfriend who goes along and makes this teen forget her own "flesh and blood" at home. Full Review

Forceful and well-acted. Fear truly lives up to its title.Full Review

Wahlberg is the centerpiece of Fear, director James Foley's surprisingly taut new thriller that's equal parts "Cape Fear," "Endless Love" and "The Wild One." [12 Apr 1996]Full Review

It's a maddening, satisfying, junky, enjoyable picture.Full Review

Fear is pretty much a cheap-thrills fix; the ideas, such as they are, function as window dressing. Still, cheap though these thrills may be, they are genuinely thrilling.Full Review

The thriller telegraphs most of its suspense payoffs, and the audience is almost always ahead of the game. What's most disappointing is that the characters begin as well-etched individuals, but are gradually turned into mere plot functions.Full Review
