The film was overly long and compared to other Holocaust films, did not make me feel the intensity of surviving int the sewer...it was good enough but NOT A GREAT FILM.

A certain contender for 2012 award nominations. One of the most intense and emtional films I have ever seen. You literally forget at times you are watching a film as opposed to being there watching in real time. The acting is first rate as is the cinematography. Not only is the story based on real events during the holocaust in Poland but it portrays the human fault line as never witnessed before

Excellent movie, but half an hour could have been cut by not filming so much time in the sewers...that part was getting a bit boring...the point had already been well made.

Quite a story about one brave Polish sewer worker who protects and saves Jewish citizens in Poland. This remarkable story tells how this sewer worker hides these Jewish citizens in the sewers from the Nazis during World War Two.

Wonderfully acted and directed. I believe this film will be up for an Oscar. This is a story told amid the holocaust, but with a unique look and feel from others. The story focuses on complex, a-typical characters. This film is moving , raw, and thought provoking.
