To give the film its full due, the people who made it — the writer, John Swetnam, and the director, Steven Quale — got wind of a genuine trend and ran with it. Everyone on screen is busy filming everyone else. It's a shakier-camera version of "The Blair Witch Project" in the era of YouTube. show more
Hollywood's latest entry in that tried-and-true genre, the disaster movie, is . . . well, it's like . . . a totally gnarly roller-coaster ride! show more
The script by John Swetnam is rudimentary, with only the most minimal and pallid stabs at characterization... Nevertheless, once the funnel clouds begin swirling, Quale and his special effects team achieve some remarkably authentic and frightening moments. show more
Loved it! Action packed. The devastation was believable. I liked that the characters and their emotions concerning what they were filming and experiencing were believable and, you could see it in their faces. Amidst the horror and devastation was some great "comedy relief" action too! So true though! I've actually known idiots like that! And I am a survivor of 3 tornados in my lifetime. Great depiction of the tornado's power and devastation! Well done all around. I will watch it again.
Boring and slow plot. Great special effects. Too bad I wasted my money in the theater to see this.
I loved this movie. The effects were awesome. Plot a litttle far fetched but a fun ride!!!
