Extremely poorly done----It was unbelievable---I did not believe she had a difficult life, that her employer was gruff and rough around the edges,... r that they truly loved each other. No chemistry, little emotion, poor acting. I truly loved the prior two verions of Jany Eyre--this one should not have been made. Full Review
Wonderful acting, but unfortunately it's still Jane Eyre.
Very poorly done. If you want a better rendition of Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre you should watch the 1973 version.
This movie is so dark. The book has some very sad moments, but also many happy and joyful events. I do not believe that movies need to be exactly... e the book they are based on to be good. The changes made were no improvement. The book has romance, depth, wit and passion. There is absolutely no chemistry between the actors playing Jane and Rochester. If I had not read the book or seen the amazing BBC TV mini series in 2006 with Toby Stevens of Jane Erye, I would never have understood this movie. I have seen Michael Fassbender in other productions and he is a good actor. This is not Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre. Full Review
Beautiful photgraphy and scenery and true to the storyline, however the romantic chemistry is lacking. Other productions have gotten the chemistry... ght but missed on everything else. I hope at some future point it will all come together in yet another re-make of this classic. Full Review

A splendid example of how to tackle the daunting duty of turning a beloved work of classic literature into a movie. Neither a radical updating nor a stiff exercise in middlebrow cultural respectability, Mr. Fukunaga's film tells its venerable tale with lively vigor and an astute sense of emotional detail.Full Review
Fukunaga has made his Jane Eyre an intimate, thoughtful epic, anchored by strong lead performances and the gorgeous, moody 100-shades-of-gray cinematography of Adriano Goldman.Full Review
Almost everything about Cary Fukunaga's version of the Charlotte Brontë romance is understated yet transfixing, mainly-although far from exclusively-because of Mia Wasikowska's presence in the title role.Full Review
Sex is threatening, as Brontë knew, and Wasikowska and Fassbender make this particular dance look exceedingly dangerous.Full Review
He's (Fukunaga) a director with a sure visual sense, here expressed in voluptuous visuals and ambitious art direction.Full Review
