one o my favorites, cast is dead on. seems to be a reasonable tale. great performances by all . i have watched it several times, never gets old. reminds me of of old time movies, average guy finally has his day. great innocent fun
Every time I watch this movie, I appreciate the humor more and more. After I'd seen it 5 or more times I finally just went and bought my own copy. I can't take a trip to Vegas without thinking about this flik:) \"I'm having a VERY good day\"......Love it.
Buster Poindexter, Jennifer tTilly Teri Garr, Cynthia Nixon with braces, the entire cast especially the charecter actors make this a classic. Dreyfus is perfect as Trotter. Fun, I am going to wathc it again now.
This is one of the greatest movies of all time. My favorite. Richard Dryfus plays his role perfectly. The characters are great. For all horse players and gamblers. Come to think of it, it's a great movie for everyone because if you don't come away after seeing this movie with a feel good feeling and laughing, through it all, then there is something wrong you my friend! Now I know why I don't read reviews or polls...I am 63 years old, have been going to the track since a teen...this is the only movie that truly reflects the reality and ambience of the horseplayers experience...not perfect, but a true player can relate to the plot. Bet these reviewers have never spent a day at the track..how can you review something you have no knowledge about?
