This is responsive, engaged filmmaking, the kind of movie they say Americans don't make. show more

Though characters make some strong points, the film feels preachy and falls flat as entertainment. show more

You could make a case for this as a feature-film version of the FCC's fairness doctrine, but it feels more like a blandness doctrine, a pulling and hauling of the tone-deaf script, which is credited to Matthew Michael Carnahan, to the point of perfect vacuousness. show more

as an 85 year old person it iis hard to see politicians making decisions like they do..perhaps a draft for their own sons would affect their decisions.

I just finished watching this so very real movie. It is not fluff. This is a movie for all of us. The message is there for all of us. I love the last part when professor is telling the complaciant student , the decsions we make now can't be altered later and define who we become. I cried, I got angry and I felt gratitude that someone is willing to say it like it is. Thank you Mr Redford.

I just saw the movie today and I thought it was really good. Also it would be a good movie that you can learn from.
