I really liked this movie....and before I go further, I am 59y/o and really not too into "teen flicks" of the garden vareity...I liked all the... , of course Heath...the photography was awesome...and what I really like is the fact that Ms Hardwicke is in touch with teenagers, she doesn't try to demean them, nor does she glorify, she just tells it as it is...I look forward to more of her work... I thought this movie is a really good flick to check out. It gives you the full effect of the Dogtown legend skateboarders and the 70's. This movie... s like nothing I've seen before! Good acting and the movie will keep you intrested. Lords of Dogtown is worth a watch! Full Review

Lords of Dogtown is a docudrama, rare in its grit and authenticity, that also strives for the mythical youth-rebel excitement of something like "8 Mile."Full Review

As beautifully structured as one of the Z-Boys' graceful and intricate maneuvers. It is economic yet possesses depth and is visually striking, capturing an idea of what life is like in a very fast lane.Full Review

Hardwicke whips up a frenzy of crazy-cool board action, with Alva choreographing the stunts. Even when the slippery-slope-of-success cliches halt the film's momentum, the ready-to-rock actors rev it up again.Full Review
