Like a shot of tequila from south of the border, this is a refreshing refrain from run of the mill comedies heaped upon us today. Good story, photography, cast and direction. Too bad it wasn't all in English...nice anyway.

Austin Chronicle
The film is absolutely charming if a bit too predictable and glued more to sit-com narrative strategies and aesthetics than is healthy. Full Review
Frank Scheck
The Hollywood Reporter
A slight but sweet effort that serves as an excellent showcase for its Mexican star, Jaime Camil. The effortlessly charismatic performer delivers a winning performance in this romantic comedy that somehow manages to work despite its endless contrivances. Full Review
Joe Leydon
Variety
A lightly engaging bilingual trifle that benefits greatly from the charm of lead player Jaime Camil, a Mexican TV and film star who evidences smooth self-assurance at the wheel of what could be his crossover vehicle. Full Review
Mark Olsen
Los Angeles Times
Serving mostly as a strong calling card for star Jaime Camil, the film has an appealingly loose, slightly ramshackle charm. Full Review
Mary Houlihan
Chicago Sun-Times
Appealing performances and a not always predictable storyline help elevate Pulling Strings above the run-of-the-mill rom-com. Full Review
