The movie rises and, at times, even soars. This is all - and I do mean all - thanks to what human actors in league with computer technology can now achieve to bring the apes to life. No more guys squeezed into monkey suits and talking in posh accents. Performance-capture makes all the difference. show more

It is not what could be fairly called a bad movie, but neither is it fine enough to be a good one, with its lineup of dull characters and a limp story that functions like a conveyor belt. show more

The cautionary tale feels surprisingly fresh and entertaining, given that this is the fifth "Planet of the Apes" film since the 1968 original. show more

This movie defiantly had my attention from the get go. It was worth watching but I was hoping for a bit more action. There was only about 10 min of solid action in the movie. I was really hoping for a battle but, I guess I still have part 2. Otherwise, great Friday night movie!

I\'m not a big fan of films that , purely based on the subject matter, must rely on so much CGI. At no time was I unaware of the fact that I was looking at computer generated images. That aside, the story line was fairly weak, though the real actors\' acting was pretty good. The best I can say for this movie is, it wasn\'t terrible.
