  • Rocket Science has the makings of either a tragedy or a crowd-pleasing underdog story, but writer-director Jeffrey Blitz instead takes the movie on a different, and ultimately more rewarding, direction. show more

  • Blitz captures the melancholy, the rage, the wackiness and drama of adolescence, and he gets winning performances out of his young stars. show more

  • A quirky comedy-drama that gets the bulk of its humor from the well-placed non sequitur. It never seems to be going where you think it is, and that includes its oddly endearing dialogue. show more

One of the best unseen movies! Staged in Jersey, it captures some of the drama that happens in most high schools, but really has that NJ feel to it. The characters play a pivotal role in capturing the audience and making you feel insecure, nervous and sick....just like high school all over again! Enjoy it!

When an excellent film is released and is offered as an "exclusive" in a very limited number of theaters, it severely inconviences the public as well as hurts the monetary return to the producers. Such is the case with "Rocket Science." In the Baltimore area, it is available in just one theater. That one theater is in a very urban location with all of the negatives associated with older urban settings. I think that the public deserves to be able to make choices, rather than the "take it or leave it" attitude that this situation creates.
