  • So the sequel, A Game of Shadows, is more of the stupid same. It wouldn't matter so much if Downey and Jude Law, as the bromantic Dr. Watson, didn't look so ready to turn on the cerebral dazzle. Instead, Ritchie treats them like action goons out of his "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" basement. show more

  • There's nothing here but wreckage. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is so ineptly made that the story is advanced solely through announcements. show more

  • Now the two men are back, along with Irene. But she vanishes all too soon in this overproduced, self-enchanted sequel, and so does the spirit of bright invention that made the previous film such a pleasant surprise. show more

The first Sherlock movie I thought had too much violence and Sherlock was not as groomed & well dressed as he should have been. This second movie: is NOT Sherlock Holmes: it\'s someone else, completely; the action is just like the first. Sherlock is if anything more derelict, and scruffy looking: Dr. Watson is also quit scruffy, definitely too much violence: and mayhem not enough cerebral plotting. Apparently they don’t get Victorian Europe and America, even. Dress, manners, and overall appearance determined who you were and where you could go and what you could do. You absolutely do not throw a Victorian lady into a lake or river not fully dressed as her dress and petticoats, weigh about 30 to 40 lbs. which will take her right down. If I wanted to see this type of violence and idiotic mayhem I would have seen a diehard or predator movie. The movie plot is really quite obvious, Does NOT have any of the finesse that Conan Doyle or others who wrote Sherlock stories managed to put into their story lines… So thank you for wasting my time and showing me just how badly you could screw up some good stories and fictional charac

Agreed !!!! BEST movie I\'ve seen this yr. by far ! I thought the first was just great. The sequel is even better. When was the last time a sequel was even as good as the original? This one goes right to the top! Jude Law & Downey Jr. fit perfect together. Number 3........Hurry!
