Works overtime for just a handful of chuckles and a few big yuks. show more

That's what The Bounty Hunter has rustled up -- along with a listless rom-com, a feeble thriller and a supporting cast of clueless characters. show more

Tennant aims for a contemporary version of "The Thin Man," wedding the banter of sparring spouses with sleuth work. To say that he falls short of the mark is understatement. show more

This synthetic comedy is instantly grating. show more

The mishmash ends up as a thoroughly unfunny adult cartoon. show more

We have to take the sexual tension on faith, as with everything in this formulaic glob of a script. show more

The Bounty Hunter does give Christine Baranski, as an Atlantic City entertainer and Mama Aniston, another opportunity to enthrall us with her drag-queenliness. show more

Aniston doesn’t bring her old A-game to this. But at least she’s not quiet and reserved and no-energy, her approach to too many roles of late. Butler makes the most of his Neanderthal rut. show more

Even if The Bounty Hunter is more plot-driven than your standard romantic comedy, it's never quite as funny as it should be. show more

Just OK - Aniston and Butler have chemistry, but the story is dull,

Weak story. The acting was about what you would expect. If you thought Ocean 11 was too complicated, its your kind of movie.

This movie is so predictable and boring to the max. It is also so annoying to watch 2 people with absolutely ZERO chemistry constantly bickering throughout the movie. JA is not adorable at all....if anything she is so irritating in this movie. Is this movie supposed to be funny??? JA is so stuck on cutesy and unchallenging roles ( in Marley and Me she was out-acted by a dog ) . She needs a vehicle that would really show off her acting talent ( if she has any )....otherwise the next ones would be equally bland (boring ) .

Not so much of a review as a warning! This movie was a long train wreck. It was like neither Jennifer Aniston or Gerard Bulter had ever meet. There was no connection betwwen the two, much less the poor people who choose to sit down in front of this awful mess.

It was original. Very funny, and very well scripted. All the actors were great, and the story line was good. I think the reason it went to the cheap seats so quick is because of how the movie is constantly making hints and pointing out to the audience that cops go by the book too much which makes them either useless or cause more problems than they prevent.
